📋 INTRODUCTION TO FAP TURBO 2

FAP Turbo was initially released in 2008 (FAP stands for Forex Auto Pilot) and is considered one of the most successful Forex robots in the history of retail Forex trading. FAP Turbo 2, created by Steve Carletti, is a new and improved version of the robot that incorporates many advanced features. These include Bitcoin trading and a focus on minimizing the trader’s capital risk through tools such as the High Spread Protection System, the Built-In Loss Prevention System, and Automatic Risk Scaling.

FAP Turbo 2 trades eight currencies: EURGBP, EURCHF, EURUSD, GBPUSD, GBPCHF, USDCHF, USDCAD, and Bitcoin on the M15 timeframe. According to the programmers, the best-performing pairs are EURGBP and EURCHF. The robot primarily targets profits of 10-20 pips and executes 1-5 trades daily.

FAP Turbo detects and confirms the main trend using technical indicators such as Williams' Percent Range, Alligator, DeMarker, and Fractals.

🔧 FAP TURBO PARAMETERS

Most parameters in FAP Turbo 2 have a default value of -1. This means the robot will automatically select the best, optimal value for each setting based on the currency pair it is trading. Traders are not required to change this value unless they have sufficient knowledge. The programmers recommend leaving important parameters at their default value of -1.

Here are some key parameters:

(1) STRATEGY SWITCHER

Use the UseScalperStrategy parameter to switch between the Short-Term and Long-Term strategies. {True = Medium-Term strategy | False = Long-Term strategy}

(2) LOT SIZE

A lot size of 0.01 corresponds to approximately $200 of your account balance. For example, 0.05 lots equal about $1,000, and 0.2 lots equal about $4,000. Note that these figures may vary depending on your broker and account type.

GMT OFFSET is especially important for the Medium-Term strategy. It defines the time difference in hours between GMT and your broker’s server time. FAP Turbo 2 uses an automated GMT offset tool, but during back-testing, the manual GMT offset should be set carefully.
